Where is Salento in Luxembourg City?

You’ll find Salento at 5 Grand-Rue, L-1661 Luxembourg, right in the city centre.

Mathieu, the founder of Salento Luxembourg, built this spot as a personal tribute to Southern Italy. The name “Salento” comes from the region tied to his family roots.

Salento Luxembourg is a place with a clear identity, a central location, and a menu that makes you want to come back often, especially on quieter days when a good deal is the perfect excuse to meet friends or take a lunch break.

  • The menu fits both lunch and evening cravings (sandwiches, focaccia, pizzas).

  • The concept is ideal for everyday: it gives people a real reason to come when they might otherwise stay home.

Pizza, the Salento Way

There’s something instantly comforting about watching a pizza come to life: a clean dough ball becomes a smooth base, sauce is spread in perfect circles, and suddenly the kitchen smells like Italy. These two photos capture the craft at Salento Luxembourg—from the first swirl of tomato to that moment when the dough is stretched and tossed with confidence.

Italian aperitivo vibe

Grab a seat, pick a bottle, and take your time. Salento feels like a little Italian hideaway — casual, welcoming, and made for aperitivo moments.

In Italy, coffee isn’t just a drink, it’s a daily ritual. It’s the quick pause at the counter, the short chat with the barista, the tiny moment that resets your day. At Salento Luxembourg, that Italian coffee culture is part of the experience: simple, authentic, and done with care.

An espresso is the classic, short, bold, and precise, but Italians love their variations: a doppio when you need extra energy, a macchiato for something softer, or a corretto when you want a traditional twist. And while cappuccino is a morning favourite, after lunch it’s usually just one thing: a caffè, and that’s it.

That’s why coffee matters here: it’s not an add-on. It’s the Italian way to start, pause, and finish a meal. At Salento, it feels like a little piece of Puglia in the heart of Luxembourg.
